It is a pleasure to recommend Jakub Czuprynski, an outstanding researcher and guide. He traced my ancestors and their wanderings through Polish towns back to the 18th century with meticulous research. He then guided my brother, my son and myself in a tour of our ancestral towns. The trip, our first visit in Poland, was exciting and emotional, as well as scholarly and educational. Jakub shared with us his deep knowledge of Jewish and general history, answered every question, and recreated for us a taste of the life of our ancestors.
Jakub’s dedication is exemplary: he had a sport injury shortly before our scheduled trip. But he led us bravely with his crutches through rough terrain in abandoned cemeteries. His persistence under difficult field conditions led to the highlight of our trip: the tomb of our great grandfather. He also creatively arranged special treats like meeting with knowledgable local people, who added a deeper understanding of Jewish life in Poland before and during the Holocaust. He constantly shared our curiosity and enthusiasm, as well as the joy in the discoveries.
Following this unique and rewarding experience, we are already planning a second tour with Jakub, with additional family members.
